I feel partially responsible for helping this student out, but at the same time...whose responsibility is it to come up with an effective way to study information?

Hey at 6th or 7th or 8th grade, it is rare that a student even recognizes he needs help studying much less that he would ask for it! I hope you can come up with some kind of aid forhim or her. Knowing you, you'll find a way to help. Out of curiosity on a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rank the US geography level of your students? We still want a report on your lesson on President Obama's speech. That was a major topic of discussion (or should I say point of contention!) for the Ya Ya's last night.
